A FRESH CLEAN START

It’s been a long time since I’ve posted any updates. Life has been, well let’s just say a bit unsettled. But things are better now so I’m off to the races again.
The big remodeling projects on Perkins Place are on hold until the budget recovers from the previous upgrades. For the time being, it’s all about little (as in affordable) improvements.
One of the simplest but best upgrades I’ve made is this fantastic cordless stick vacuum. Now I know stick vacuums are nothing new, but since I’m late to just about every party, they are new to me. I first bought this one from Amazon for the house up north. I loved it so much that I had to buy one for the southern manse.

There aren’t many outlets around this house, so the cordless feature makes it so much faster and easier to vacuum the entire house in an amazingly short period of time. I also love the fact that it goes from floor to carpet without having to make any adjustments. With 70 minutes of runtime, I can clean the whole house in one go—no stopping to recharge, no switching outlets. I even take it out to the car now. It’s that easy.
The first time I used it, I actually smiled. It's more like a toy to me than a tool. It's so light in my hand, so easy to maneuver, and it picked up everything including crumbs, beach sand, and all of the Florida lizard poop that seems to appear out of nowhere on a nearly daily basis.
If you’re on the fence about going cordless, let me say this: I wish I’d done it sooner. This vacuum isn’t just efficient—it’s empowering. It’s made cleaning feel way less tedious.
And that, to me, is worth every penny.
